Ever wonder about the most popular dog breeds among celebrities?  It seems like some breeds just show up more in famous Instagram feeds! Sometimes celebrity pets get even more attention than their famous owner! Many celebrities love to post pictures online with their beloved dogs. French Bulldog

The French Bulldog seems to be an extremely popular dog breed with celebrities. These dogs seem to be popular because of the fact that they make the ideal companion and they are also low maintenance dogs. Lady Gaga’s French Bulldog, Asia, appeared in the 2015 fall campaign of the Coach Company. Country music star Jason Aldean is the proud owner of Atlas, which he has had for several years. Star Wars actress, Carrie Fisher, and her pal Gary travel everywhere together. Fisher even dressed him up as Princess Leia!

Labrador Retriever

The Labrador Retriever is friendly, warm and intelligent dog breed. They are athletic and muscular and make very loyal companions. For all these reasons, the Labrador Retriever is a popular pet choice with celebrities. Drew Barrymore credits her Labrador-Chow mix breed dog, Flossie, for saving her from a fire in 2001 by barking until she awoke. Actress Minnie Driver has a black Labrador named Bubba. Steve Martin is the proud papa of a yellow Labrador named Wally.

Chihuahua

The Chihuahua breed of dogs are small, quirky, loyal and entertaining, making them the ideal pet for celebrities. Chihuahuas became from the Taco Bell commercials from 1997 to 2000, when Gidget Chipperton, was the mascot for Taco Bell. There have been numerous movies throughout the years featuring Chihuahuas including Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Bolt and Legally Blond. Singer Paula Abdul often posts photos of her dogs on social media. She is the lucky owner of four Chihuahuas: Bessie Moo, Chomps, Thumbelina and Tulip. Actress Demi Moore, rather spoils her Chihuahua, Vida Blue, by treating her to acupuncture two times a week.

These celebrity dogs are definitely pampered pooches, don’t you think? Kind of gives new meaning to the term “a dog’s life”! I love when celebrities use their fame for good, like promoting animal welfare and encouraging people to adopt.
