Okay, so I have to say that I was a bit shocked when I first read this dog news story. I mean, come on, a pooch making how much a month to model clothing? Heck, I am lucky if I can make that amount in a year never mind a month.
So, you ready to hear this dog’s story? His name is Bodhi and he is a red Shiba Inu breed of dog who lives in New York City. He is known professionally as Menswear Dog. Bodhi brings in about $15,000 a month between photo contracts, online sponsored posts and guest appearances.

Bodhi is named from Patrick Swayze’s character in the 1991 movie Point Break, which also stars Keanu Reeves. His owners are husband and wife duo David Fung and Yena Kim. David is a former graphic designer while Yena is a former fashion designer. Because of Bodhi’s lucrative income, the couple were able to quit their full-time jobs in April of 2013.
Bodhi was kind of discovered by accident when David and Yena posted a photo of him on Facebook after they first dressed him in one of David’s outfits and Bodhi began posing for the camera.

Since then, the dog has had modeling contracts with famous brands like Coach, Purina, Hudson Shoes and American Apparel; publications such as GQ, Time and Esquire and television shows like Anderson Cooper Live, The Rachel Ray Show and Good Morning America.
On February 4, 2014, Bodhi launched his own Capsule Collection for Menswear Daily in New York at the Nolita Bar Botanica. The Capsule Collection is a line of dog fashion wear for men. On February 19, 2014, David Fung did an interview with Phillip Mlynar from www.dogster.com. In the interview David was asked about Bodhi’s first outfit and David responded, “It was a shawl collar cardigan over an Oxford shirt and tie. Very collegiate professor.” He was also asked about who was Bodhi’s ultimate fashion icon where David responded, “Of all time? Probably Steve McQueen. Modern day: Ryan Gosling can do no wrong.”
