How to Measure your pet for costumes for large dogs
Basic measurements you may need to properly size your pet for clothing and costumes should be taken from the chest and neck to tail.
Neck to Tail: Begin where your dogs fitted collar naturally rests and extend your measuring tape down the spine to where your dog’s tail begins.
Chest Measurement: You should begin your measurement at the largest/broadest point on your pet’s chest. This may be an inch or two behind your dog’s front legs. Using fabric measuring tape will help you get an accurate measurement. Avoid adding slack to your tape as it may result in an improper fit.
