These coconut peanut butter dog treats will definitely have him salivating and begging for more!
Before we get to the recipe, though, I want to clear something up.
Maybe you looked at the title and thought “hypoallergenic and peanut butter don’t go together!”
Well, in the people world, maybe you’d be right…if you have a peanut allergy. Many people are allergic to many different things. I have a friend who is allergic to bananas! In the dog world, though, peanut allergies are far less common.

What are dogs allergic to?
According to Doctors Fosters & Smith of PetEducation.com, “In order of the most common offenders in dogs are beef, dairy products, chicken, lamb, fish, chicken eggs, corn, wheat, and soy.”
Of course, like humans, dogs can have many different allergies, but unlike humans, peanut allergies just don’t rank that high on the list of things to worry about, so you can include them in your hypoallergenic dog treats.
Peanut Butter Dog Treats: Delicious & Hypoallergenic

Ingredients:
- 1 C coconut flour
(if your dog is not allergic to wheat and you can’t find coconut flour, you can use 1 cup of wheat flour)
- 1 Cup of oats
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 C water, boiling
- 1/3 C creamy peanut butter
- 1 egg (or 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
if your dog is allergic to eggs)
Directions:
- Preheat oven 350 degrees.
- Line a cookie sheet
with parchment paper

- Flour cutting board
, the rolling pin and your hands.
- Add more flour if batter is liquid (just toss a handful in)…. if too dry add a few drops of water.
-Working with your hands knead the batter…. if it sticks to your hands add more flour.
-When it becomes workable… use your rolling pin and roll the dough out.
-Roll it out to 1/4 inch thick….. using your cookie cutter (bone) cut out as many treats as your batter will allow.
-Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until slightly brown.
-Allow to cool overnight….
Once done, store your hypoallergenic dog treats in an airtight dog food container so they stay fresh longer.
Use them as training rewards for your pooch or as a snack.
