Turkey-Shaped Hypoallergenic Dog Treat Recipe for Thanksgiving
Ingredients
  • ½ C pumpkin puree
  • 4 TBSP molasses
  • 4 TBSP water
  • 2 TBSP vegetable oil
  • 2 C whole wheat flour
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
Instructions
  1. Reheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix pumpkin puree, molasses, oil, and water together in a bowl.
  3. Whisk whole wheat, baking soda and baking powder together.
  4. Add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir well.
  5. Wrap the dough in cling wrap and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  6. Remove dough and allow to soften for about 15 minutes.
  7. Put flour on a cutting board, and rolling pin.
  8. Begin to roll out the dough, if it sticks to the rolling pin and add some flour to the dough and work through it.
  9. Roll out the dough and using the cookie cutter, cut out the turkeys.
  10. Using a spatula transfer the unbaked cookies to the cookie sheet.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
  12. Allow to cool completely on the cookie sheet.
