Today we are bringing you a nutrient-rich treat for your dogs that are easy to make.
These chicken and liver dog cookies are an excellent way to add some extra nutrition to your pup’s diet.
The liver is full of protein, B vitamins, iron, and omega fatty acid.
My dogs loved these treats so much they were begging for more.
We use them as rewards during our training sessions.
We adopted our little dog Sprite a few months back. While Sprite is as sweet as can be, training him has been slow moving. Since combining the training tips found here at DogVills with homemade dog treats, especially these liver treats, Sprite’s training has taken off.
He is excited to work for these treats.

Tips:
While making these chicken and liver dog cookies, I found it much easier to cook the liver, and then chop it into small pieces. The small pieces are easier to fold into the dough.
I also used a couple of extra tablespoons of chicken broth while mixing the dough to ensure it was moist enough to hold its form. The dough should be firm, so if you need to add some extra chicken broth be sure to add it one tablespoon at a time. 2-3 tablespoons should be plenty.
